Minutes of meeting held on 17th April 2008

We discussed the contracting-out of public services to religious organisations. This is explained in a brief BHA document. All members were asked to keep an eye out for advertisments in local newspapers for posts restricted to religious people (see here for more details). If you spot such an advert, please contact .

We didn't get around to discussing the 2001 census data (see here for more details). Please keep a look out for any local authority references to the 71% Christian statistic and let know.

Andrew Edmondson isthe only BHA Local Development Volunteer for West Sussex, and the only person attendeding the SACRE in Chichester. It would be good to recruit at least one other person, even just as a backup. A request for a volunteer will be placed on the Home page of the website.

The rest of the meeting was spent discussing current issues and the contrast between the BHA and NSS.
