Faith schools – useful facts, quotes and statistics

This is a collection of evidence and opinion built up by the BHA over the past few years, showing the wide range of voices supporting our view that faith schools are unnecessary, divisive and discriminatory, and demonstrating that faith groups are themselves divided about the wisdom and merits of faith schools. Humanists are by no means alone in worrying about the effects of segregated education.

The extracts are arranged by topic and/or source and/or year to help enquirers find their way around this ever expanding and regularly updated collection (though inevitably, there is some overlap and duplication between topics). Contents are arranged by date, with the most recent at the start of each section.
