a local strategy.
New members are always welcome.

What you can do to help
Campaign for Humanist representation on West
Sussex SACRE
In March 2007, West Sussex County Council voted against including
a Humanist representative on the Standing Advisory Committee for
Religious Education (SACRE).
If you want the many non-religious residents of West Sussex to
be represented in RE, email
your local councillor. It only takes a few minutes.
Take this poll. Please only vote once.

Are your children taught that there are good alternatives to
religion?
The answer is almost certainly No. Join the discussion
forum to find out how you can influence your local school.
How does your school teach RE?
This short document
from the BHA describes how RE should be taught, and includes
revealing experiences of a few pupils.

Keep our welfare services secular

religious organisations.
Read more about it here
and find out what you can do to help locally.
Do you know of any secular bodies holding religious services
in West Sussex?
The only way to celebrate Remembrance Day seems to be in a church.
But what about other celebrations, e.g. a Mayor's civic service?
Report any you know about in the discussion
forum.
